Mateschitz realized the product’s potential and teamed up with Chaleo Yoovidhya, who was already selling the drink.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 1984, the pair founded RedBull GmbH<\/a>, with each investing $500,000 in the venture. While Mateschitz and Yoovidhya each owned 49% of the business (the remaining 2% belonged to Yoovidhya’s son), Mateschitz ran the business.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Red Bull was officially launched in Austria on April 1, 1987 \u2014 and that was no April’s Fools joke. Over time and with unique marketing tactics, Red Bull became an international sensation. As of 2023, Red Bull dominated the energy drink sector, with nearly 40% of market share<\/a> and approximately $7.34 billion in sales.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Red Bull’s internship program takes place in the fall. You have to be at least 18 years old, enrolled as an undergraduate or graduate student, and willing to work in-person. Most internships are in sales or marketing. Red Bull also has a program for new grads<\/a> (or those approaching graduation). You can work in the U.S. or another country and positions are available in sales, HR, operations, marketing, and finance<\/a>. The program runs for 18 months and is salaried.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
