In many ways, a branch manager becomes the face of the bank for that community, overseeing daily operations and promoting relationships between the bank and its customers. Bank managers, auditors, loan officers, and personal bankers specifically benefit from finance and economics degrees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Some retail bank employees may even pursue master&#8217;s degrees or Ph.D.s to make themselves more marketable and to increase their knowledge of finance and economics.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Shirshikov recommends students &#8220;g\u0430in pr\u0430ctic\u0430l ex\u0440erience through internships \u043er entry-level p\u043esiti\u043ens in th\u0435 b\u0430nking industry.&#8221; Additionally, Shirshikov says that through <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theforage.com\/blog\/basics\/networking\">networking<\/a> and finding mentors in the industry, students can &#8220;le\u0430rn \u0430bout opportunities \u0430nd st\u0430y \u0441urrent \u043en industry tr\u0435nds.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-certifications-and-registrations\">Certifications and Registrations<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Certain roles within a retail bank may require or benefit from certifications, licenses, or registrations, such as:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Financial advisers<\/strong> may need to be qualified and registered through the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.finra.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA)<\/a> if they offer investment advice or sell investment options, such as stocks or bonds.
