You’ll learn how to read and understand design briefs, develop cost and construction time estimates, investigate stakeholder and environmental impacts, assess design outcomes and report on all the findings from your investigation to make clear recommendations to clients.

Your manager is tied up with other projects at the moment, so they are relying on you to produce the options analysis quickly for their review before sending it off to the client.

The client has come to GHD with different design options for a particular rail line. Your job is to compare these options and consider a variety of factors to recommend which one will be best for the client to move forward with.
This will require you to consider important design and construction factors such as cost, construction timelines, design outcomes and stakeholder and environmental impacts.
Your goal is to make the comparison process you used clear to the client and wrap everything up together in a short memo highlighting key findings and takeaways, along with GHD's final recommendation.
