“I really appreciated how practical and realistic the tasks were. The program gave me hands-on experience with core legal skills like due diligence and drafting, which are essential in shipping finance. I liked that it combined technical knowledge with real-world application, using authentic templates and scenarios. It felt like a genuine insight into the work trainees do at a top law firm.”

    Student

I really enjoyed how practical the tasks were. It wasn't just theory, actually going through the motions of due diligence and drafting documents for a client felt very much like the real work of a commercial lawyer at Watson Farley & Williams. It gave me a much clearer idea of what the day-to-day work involves, and the structure helped me keep track of all the details without feeling totally lost.

    Student

The best aspect of the program is the opportunity it gives students to perform work identical to real-life tasks, such as filling in information in a letter of undertaking, while also providing a clear explanation of the context of each task. This allows students to understand and observe different relevant parts of a shipping finance transaction.
