What stood out to me when completing the simulation was how it encouraged me to approach each task not only from a legal perspective, but also from a commercial one. It strengthened my critical thinking skills and taught me how to tailor my advice more effectively, ensuring that the information I provided was clear, concise, and, most importantly, practical and responsive to the client’s concerns.

Participating in the A&O Shearman job simulation was an enlightening experience that provided a transparent, unvarnished look into the complexities of an Elite Global law firm. What I found most compelling was the programme's commitment to depth; it eschewed surface-level tasks in favour of rigorous, multi-layered scenarios that demanded both legal precision and commercial acumen.

This was such a well structured virtual experience and at times I actually pictured myself in a law firm completing the required tasks. It was really engaging and provided the chance to give my own advice which made me feel valued and felt I was already part of Technology and M&A team at A&O Shearman .
