The simulation was enriching in terms of knowledge, detail and exposure. It gave me a bird's eye view of what a career at A and O Sherman would look like and the type of work it may involve. I recommend anyone assessing a commercial law career and especially a role at A and O Sherman, completing such a program.

The program helped me gain practical insight into the day to day work and assignments that a trainee associate like me would be involved with. The tasks felt very real and so did the submissions! Overall a great experience and opportunity to not only interact with the workings of the firm, but also recognize the areas I have to grow and learn in so as to become better at the work

The highlight of the program for me was the focus on commercial awareness. Tasks like the 'Project Prime' term sheet review challenged me to look past just the legal text and consider the strategic implications for the client, such as exclusivity risks and future expansion goals. It was an excellent way to bridge the gap between academic study and professional practice.
