This gave a realistic picture of how analysis, communication and client outreach fit together in a live deal.

I liked that it was hands-on. Analyzing Webflix's 10-K, preparing a financial summary, selecting Nintendo as the M&A target based on product/geographic diversity and calculating its $69.5B terminal value, and drafting professional communications gave me real insight into investment banking work in TMT.

I enjoyed working on a realistic client project from start to finish: a SWOT analysis, a financial summary, a DCF valuation and a company profile for a possible acquisition. The step-by-step tasks and example answers helped me understand how investment bankers value a target and communicate with clients. It also strengthened my Excel and PowerPoint skills.
