Intro & ScenarioMeet your team members and learn about your project goals.
Your role
- You are a university undergraduate student considering a career in corporate law and have an interest in banking and finance.
- Before applying for a training contract with BCLP, you are undertaking this virtual internship to learn more about working at a leading international law firm.
- During your BCLP internship, you will be working in the firm’s finance practice area from their Manchester office, with a focus on real estate finance.
- You will play the role of a trainee solicitor and will be involved in work that reflects a trainee solicitor’s role in a real estate finance transaction.
Your goal
- As a trainee solicitor in BCLP’s Real Estate Finance team, you are new to the team and keen to gain as much responsibility as you can in the six months you will spend on the team.
- You are looking to qualify for the team, and so you are enthusiastic to learn as much as possible about banking transactions to allow you to complete more complex work, such as managing parts of a transaction and drafting banking documents. This will help leave a good impression on the team and stand you in good stead for qualification.
