I enjoyed how the simulation gave a practical insight into the type of work Bird & Bird completes. From the perspective of someone who has not studied law before, the simulation provides sufficient support which prevents the tasks from feeling overwhelming. But these resources also enable you to research in an engaging and challenging way.

It gave me a much clearer idea of the type of work I would be doing at a commercial firm. Each task challenged me to think commercially, read the laws, and draft. I learnt a lot about IP, Patents, Copyright , as well as thinking with client in mind. Also found it useful to think about what the other party could argue.

I liked the tasks given because they gave me a practical experience of what it is like to work in IP and has further fueled my passion to learn and know more. Learning the difference between trademarks, copyright and patents in order to better understanding the tasks was really stimulating and engaging.
