I liked the simulation because it combined commercial law and human rights making the task feel both meaningful and practically effective. It also provided a realistic insight into the type of research and drafting work trainee solicitors such as myself will undertake when support pro bono matters.

I liked how the programme got me thinking critically, and developed my research skills. i appreciated that there was a professional example to compare to my work at the end of each task to identify what i could have done better. The simulation was challenging but gave me an insight into some of the work that would be in place if i was to secure a job in this practice.

The experience was truly eye-opening, as it introduced me to areas of law I hadn't explored before. I was especially fascinated by international laws, such as the United Nations Guiding Principles (UNGPs) on Business and Human Rights. I also learned practical skills, like how to draft a country of origin information (COI) report and understand its crucial role in evaluating asylum applications.
