I really liked how this project expanded on what I learned in my Generation Australia course. While my bootcamp covered structured data cleaning, SQL, and visualization, this simulation gave me my first real taste of unstructured data analysis. Now I feel confident in how to analyze social text, derive sentiment insights, and design a database to store it

I particularly enjoyed the anonymization task, because it wasn't just about deleting columns — it forced me to think about trade-offs between privacy and usefulness. Bucketing age and salary, generalizing addresses into regions instead of exact states, and checking for k-anonymity risk taught me that "anonymized" isn't a binary state; it's a spectrum you have to actively manage and document.

I enjoyed working on realistic data science tasks that reflected real business scenarios. The simulation covered data analysis, data anonymisation, database design, and using social media data to generate business insights. It helped me understand how data science can support decision-making in the banking industry while improving my analytical and problem-solving skills
