What I liked: real bugs, had to read someone else's code to find them, wasn't spoon-fed the fix, and had to verify it myself instead of trusting it blindly. For a fresher, that's a solid talking point: "found and fixed a coordinate-order bug in a map integration, then tested it myself" — that's a real story, not a tutorial-follow-along.

The simulation provided a realistic look into real-world front-end engineering workflows. Working directly with an established React codebase, interpreting customer feedback into actionable engineering tasks, and debugging mapping coordinate issues in MapLibre made the experience both practical and engaging.

I liked that the simulation gave me the opportunity to work on a practical software task and experience how debugging fits into a team-based development environment. I enjoyed working with an existing codebase, identifying an issue, understanding the code, and implementing a solution. It also gave me a better understanding of how developers contribute to a project as part of a team.
