I liked that the simulation provided a practical introduction to aircraft engine conceptual design and allowed me to apply engineering concepts such as bypass ratio, compression ratio, engine sizing, efficiency, emissions, and design tradeoffs. The research-based tasks helped me understand how different propulsion parameters influence overall engine and aircraft performance.

I especially enjoyed comparing different energy sources and studying bypass ratio and compression ratio because it helped me connect theoretical engineering concepts with real-world engine design trade-offs.
I highly appreciated the real-world engineering approach. The trade-off analysis between SAF, Hydrogen, and Jet-A, followed by writing a technical memo to the Lead Engineer, provided an excellent look into daily engineering decision-making. Structuring a presentation on bypass and compression ratios was also a very practical exercise.
