Introduction from Linklaters

Reviews

4.6

The tasks were varied and practical. They covered different aspects of working in a commercial law firm, including project management, teamwork, legal research and using AI. They were realistic and client-focused. The tasks required applying legal knowledge to real transaction scenarios and communicating information clearly and professionally.

The Simulation has improved my confidence by guiding me on how to handle professional communication and making me do things that I might have to do if I ever join a law firm like Linklaters. I have learnt to make sophisticated PowerPoint slides and write emails professionally in a concise manner. I have enjoyed the simulation.

Task 5 didn’t ask a hypothetical “discuss e-signatures” question. It gave me a voicemail from an associate, a specific SPA, and an actual Law Society note to work from. Having to apply Companies Act 2006 s.44 and case law like Golden Ocean to a client question is exactly what trainees do. It bridged the gap between textbooks and practice.
