I liked that it felt like a real consulting project. Going from messy promotion data to a clear recommendation and then presenting it to leadership showed me how analysis actually turns into decisions. The control group part was the most useful, as I hadn't really thought about how you prove a promotion caused the sales rather than just the time of year.

I liked how the simulation mirrored a real consulting project by combining data analysis, business strategy, and client communication. The Test & Learn methodology and presentation task made the experience practical and helped me understand how data can be translated into actionable business recommendations.

The biggest lesson: a sales spike during a promotion doesn't mean much on its own - what matters is whether it holds up after the promotion ends. One format looked like a winner on day one, then quietly lost money once I checked the numbers a few weeks out. Good practice going from raw data to a data-driven recommendation a non-technical audience can actually act on.
