    • You are a trainee solicitor at Mayer Brown, a prestigious international law firm. 
    • You are part of the Banking and Finance team, which handles complex financial transactions and provides legal expertise on financial matters. 
    • Your team is currently working on two major deals: the financing of a major corporate acquisition and the financing of a commercial real estate transaction. 
    • As an ambitious trainee solicitor, you see these deals as opportunities to develop your legal skills, gain practical experience, and contribute to high-stakes transactions.
    Your goal
    • For the corporate acquisition deal, your primary task is to conduct thorough due diligence, analyse financial statements, and draft a preliminary acquisition finance loan agreement. You will also identify potential legal and financial risks and suggest mitigation strategies. 
    • For the commercial real estate transaction, your primary task is to analyse financial projections, draft a loan agreement for the real estate financing, and assess the regulatory and compliance requirements. You will prepare a comprehensive compliance report to ensure all legal and financial standards are met.
