Your role

You are a trainee solicitor who has just started in Norton Rose Fulbright’s Asset Finance team in London.
You will be working with an associate and a partner on a complex leasing transaction in which your client is seeking to lease one new Airbus to a global airline business.
As the trainee solicitor on the transaction, you will be responsible for managing the Conditions Precedent (CP) documents and checklist, carrying out legal research, reviewing first drafts of transaction documents, and performing other legal and administrative tasks.

Your goal

Become familiar with the facts of the deal, the main transaction document (an aircraft operating lease), and the role that conditions precedent play.
Use firm templates to create a Conditions Precedent (CP) checklist for the deal.
Advise the client on key terms of the aircraft operating lease and help them negotiate their desired position.
