    Tasks in this program

Task One: Create a Backpack React Web App
    1-2 hours
    Intermediate
Use Skyscanner’s Backpack React library to build a basic web app.
    What you'll learn

In this task, you’ll receive an introduction to Skyscanner’s Backpack design system: an open-source collection of design resources, reusable components, and guidelines used across Skyscanner projects.

    You’ll also practice:

    • setting up a React web development environment
    • using a third-party component library
    • customizing a React application
    • running automated tests
    What you'll do

You’ll build a simple React web application using Backpack. The application will allow users to choose a flight date and continue through the booking flow.

    Your final application should include:

    • the header text Flight Schedule
    • a Backpack Calendar component
    • a Backpack button below the calendar that says Continue

    This task includes three stages:

    1. setting up your workspace
    2. customizing your application
    3. running automated tests

Don’t worry if you get stuck. You’ll be shown an example answer at the end.
