Your role
- You'll work in the role of a junior risk manager and will report directly to the senior risk manager.
- Your team (Risk Management) will undertake a review of the firm's existing risk management practices for its mortgage lending operations.
- As a new hire, you are hoping to prove your ability to the senior risk manager and show how you can add value.
The final project deliverable will be a presentation deck for high-level management, which:
i) Summarises any weaknesses in existing mortgage banking risk management practices.
ii) Details how such deficiencies should be improved upon and/or enhanced.
Your goal
To gain working experience in:
- Facilitating communication with various operations managers
- Analysing/identifying areas of elevated risk
- Determining how identified risks are currently controlled
- Proposing improvements to any weaknesses in the current control infrastructure
