Your role

You are a professional at Vista Equity Partners, working in a function that interfaces with the investment process, such as Finance, Operations, or the Value Creation team.
You’ve been selected to take part in a strategic internal initiative designed to help professionals better understand the private equity deal lifecycle.
You’ll be working with the Deal team and Value Creation team, and supporting teams across Vista to learn how investment decisions are made and executed.
You bring strong analytical skills and business acumen to the table, but you’re ready to gain more exposure to how Vista evaluates, purchases, and manages companies.

Your goal

You’ll work through two structured tasks to deepen your knowledge of the private equity deal process.
First, you’ll learn the language of the deal lifecycle: core terminology and valuation methods used by Vista professionals.
Then, you’ll step through each phase of a Vista deal—from sourcing to exit—and explore which teams are involved and how they contribute.
