I liked the structure of the program. Following the same company throughout the program made me feel as though I was participating in a real case, leaning into the idea of what work may look like in the firm. It gave me an idea of how multi-layered a single case can be, from financing to restructuring etc.

It was an incredibly hands on experience, where I felt I was doing real work. It gave a true insight into the work I could be doing on the vacation scheme/the training contract programme. I would recommend it to anyone looking for an insight into the legal profession or for the work at Weil. It equipped me with more transferable skills I can use now, and in my future legal career.

The experience was eye opening and interesting; I enjoyed the section to do with creating a structure chart of a proposed transaction involving a number of SPVs known as "Topcos" and "Midcos" and "Bidcos"- this was something new I had not experienced on Forage or during any exercise at a law firm and was challenging.
