I was excited to gain insight into the real work of a Weil, Gotshal & Manges trainee. Delving from macro-economic context into the micro legal analysis of NDA clause carve-outs, building full transaction structure charts and applying specific statutory provisions to determine legal status of companies -- felt less of a chore and more of a chess game.

It was an incredibly hands on experience, where I felt I was doing real work. It gave a true insight into the work I could be doing on the vacation scheme/the training contract programme. I would recommend it to anyone looking for an insight into the legal profession or for the work at Weil. It equipped me with more transferable skills I can use now, and in my future legal career.

This job simulation sets itself apart from the other ones. Not only I learned something new, I now know exactly the kind of work undertaken by Private Equity and Finance. I am aware that Corporate and Finance are 2 compulsory seats for every trainee and I would definitely feel confident in picking banking and finance post this simulation.
