I enjoyed gaining a better understanding of how M&A transactions work in practice. I particularly liked learning about due diligence, confidentiality and exclusivity, and how these issues can affect a client's decisions. Preparing an email to the client helped me understand the importance of explaining complex legal matters clearly and considering both legal risks and commercial interests.

Following the Task given to me, I was intrigued by the subtle complexities of the role especially when looking at M&A transaction process and the skills needed to understand and convey it to the client. I had not been previously aware of an M&A transaction and it was interesting to learn a new term from the corporate world

I enjoyed the practical approach of the program. Working with actual transaction-style documents made the exercise feel very close to what day-to-day work in a corporate team would look like. The draft solution at the end was particularly helpful, as it allowed me to compare my approach with a realistic example and see how I could improve.
